Stable lives. Strong communities.

Bayit Community Land Trust is developing an AHLT model — an integrated ecosystem providing workforce navigation, community health, and transportation support to Maryland families.

Our Mission

Stability is the foundation. Everything else follows.

Bayit CHWs meet residents in homes and community spaces across Maryland.

Bayit Community Land Trust is a Maryland 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 2019 in Burtonsville, Maryland, and now rooted in Silver Spring (1220 Spring Street, Silver Spring, MD 20910). For years, the organization has built community outreach infrastructure through the EssentialNow program and the HART Act — a legislative advocacy initiative working toward a Maryland state proclamation that recognizes residents through an awardee program and supports their pathway into workforce development and long-term stability.

In 2026, the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) approved the Bayit Community Land Trust name — giving formal identity to the community development work built since the organization's founding. The mission, the programs, and the people are the same. The name is new.

Bayit CLT's integrated AHLT model ensures that support remains coordinated — not just for today's residents, but for every family that follows. Stability is not a luxury. It is the precondition for everything else.

"We don't just connect people to services. We build the conditions for a stable life."
— Eneshal Galloway, Founder & Executive Director, Bayit Community Land Trust
Integration

Workforce navigation, health, and transportation support developed as one coordinated ecosystem — not isolated services.

Ecosystem

Every program connects to the others. A workforce client gets health navigation. A health client gets transportation support.

Dignity

Every resident is met with respect, not charity. We build capacity, not dependency.

Our Programs

Four programs. One coordinated ecosystem.

  • Job training and workforce development session
    Economic Mobility

Who We Work With

Three sectors. One shared mission.

Bayit CLT sits at the intersection of community development, workforce services, and faith-based service. We partner with organizations across all three sectors to build the infrastructure that makes lasting community stability possible in Maryland.

Sector 01

Community Developers

We partner with community development organizations and CDFIs to coordinate workforce, health, and transportation services that strengthen communities and support long-term resident stability.

  • Resident intake and navigation
  • Workforce program coordination
  • Community health outreach
  • Long-term stability planning

Sector 02

Workforce & Employers

Employers, training providers, and workforce organizations who share our values can partner to connect Maryland residents with jobs, skills training, and career pathways.

  • Job placement partnerships
  • Skills training referrals
  • Second-chance hiring support
  • Workforce pipeline development

Sector 03

Faith & Service Agencies

Faith communities and social service agencies are often the first to know when a family is in crisis. We work alongside congregations, nonprofits, and case managers as trusted referral and co-navigation partners.

  • Referral and co-navigation pathways
  • Congregational outreach partnerships
  • Case manager coordination
  • Community engagement collaboration

The Bayit CLT Model

Lasting community stability requires workforce partners who build economic mobility, health navigators who address root causes, and service organizations who connect families to support. Bayit CLT coordinates all three.
